Social Science at Kitara Institute commenced in1999 as the institution started. it has since grown into a fully-fledged department with an array of courses at both Diploma and Certificate levels. It is currently one of the largest departments at the institute, with over 200 students.

The courses hepl students analyze social structure, understand historical contexts, engage with contemporary issues, and explore solutions to societal challenges. Graduates from the Social Science Department are well-prepared to persue careers in education, public service, research, policy development, non-profit work, and more. We aim to cultivate socially aware indivuduals who contribute meaningfully to their communities and wider world.
