Department of Journalism, and Media Studies
The Department since it's inception in 2009 has trained and continues to train a cadre of Journalists and Media professionals across the region.
The department also places a strong emphasis on media ethics, freedom of expression, and the role of communication in shaping societies. Learners are guided by experienced media professionals and academic experts who benefit from hands-on training in areas such as news writing, video production, photography, social media Management, and radio/TV broadcasting. The department also prepares students to become informed storytellers, responsible journalists, and communication leaders capable of making a meaningful impact in the media industry and beyond.
The department offers courses in journalism at both Certificate and Diploma levels
