The department is committed to equipping students with practical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and entreprenuerial competences necessary to thrive in today's dynamic economic environment.

Department of Business

The department of Business started in 1999 with 13 students on certificate and diploma in Secretarial Studies were the only programs offered at the time. The department has since grown to train students in a number of courses and others as listed below. The first head of department was Mr. Herbert Irumba (2012-2013). Mr Julius Muhanuza took over as the Head of Department in 2014 - todate.

After the course the learners should be in position to;

Apply functional and foundamental concepts to think critically and solve business problems. Demonstrate an understanding of how economical egal and regulatory, political, social, technical, environmental, and competitive forces (local, regional, global) affect business. Identify options to problems into business or personal opportunities. Generate unique solutions to problems or ways to respond opportunities. Recognize ethical issues, apply ethical frameworks to analyze them then choose ad defend a solution.
